Sunny Days

Sunny Days

How about a little sunshine for your Wednesday? This card makes me smile!

To make it, I first placed a die cut on the card base, and sponged Memento Dandelion ink inside to create the sun. Then I covered it with an actual die cut (to make a mask) and sponged the clouds on with Memento Summer Sky ink. I got out a new stencil and some fab Dreamweaver Stencils Glossy White Embossing Paste. I tinted it yellow by mixing in some Spectrum Noir refill ink (GB5) until I was happy with the color.

The tree stamp is from the Art-Kure line at Crafter's Companion US. I fussy cut it and added it to some rolling hills (WPlus9 dies), then added a sentiment at the bottom (CC US again).

Sheena Douglass has released new 7"x7" stencils, and I am so so so over the moon about them! They're all about creating backgrounds, texture, and patterns on all sorts of paper crafting and mixed media art which just makes me happy!

I also played along with this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, which is 'All Things Bright and Beautiful'.... since this card is so full of sunshine, I figured it qualified for the bright part!
