Party Invitation

Party Invite

Crafter's Companion US has released new Create-a-Card dies in A2 size, which make my life totally happy! It's so easy to create quick cards now, as these will create a decorative card front in no time!

For this fun die I thought I'd have a go at creating a unique party invitation, with a tent-fold style.

Party Invite - flat

I started with a 16x16 piece of cardstock, and trimmed it to 4 1/4 x 16. Then I scored it at 5 1/2, and again another 5 1/2" from that line to create the tent fold.

After I die-cut the front, I added a piece of shimmering cardstock behind it, to make the white pop. And some fabulous flowers cut form shimmering cardstock as well.

Here's the side view!

Party Invite - back

On the back side of the 'tent' I embossed a piece of shimmering cardstock and used a cupcake wrapper die (I cut a piece of it) to form the fence that holds the card in this position. It's only adhered at the bottom, so it folds flat for mailing in a regular envelope. The butterfly is a cupcake topper die.

The party info would go on the inside - isn't it fun?

I love this card. The shimmery paper and the butterflies on the background and cut out are beautiful. My favorite colors too. Good job. TFS
