Five Minute Friday: Nautical Thank You

Nautical Thank You v1

Sunday is my mom's birthday..........and thanks to my muddled brain, I sort of forgot to make her something and get it in the mail! Yesterday I sat down and whipped up a twelve-card gift set for her in next to no time! I managed to get to the post office an entire ten minutes before they closed, and the package will arrive tomorrow. How's THAT for procrastinating?!

She lives at the beach, so I tend to stick with nautical stuff for her. Monday I'll be sharing her actual bithrday card & the tutorial I made to go with it!

Nautical Thank You v2

I made her two versions of this CAS card. Apologies for the pics - as the cards have been mailed I had to make do with terrible light since yesterday was a rainy day!

To make these cards, I used two different types of kraft cardstock for the base and embossed each one with a Crafter's Companion embossing folder. I die cut a Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling tag, added the gorgeous winnie+walter sentiment using IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko Memento LUXE Nautical Blue ink (see what I did there?!) and added a fun Paper Smooches anchor die, cut with Shimmering Candy Red cardstock (CC again).

Each card came together in well under five minutes. Truly - I made twelve in under twenty minutes!

AIR2015

And speaking of IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko...........they made a huge announcement today, and I'm beyond proud to share that I'll be re-joining the team for the 2015 year! WOOHOO!! Stop by the blog to see who else is coming back and a few new faces!

Here's what I used:
