I'm on a quest to make my daughter loads of cards and gifts for the start of school (I made her this fun Lawn Fawn one that I shared on Monday). This is the one I think she'll be getting the night before school stars, because i know she'll be nervous. It has a coordinating bookmark which I'll share in a few days!
I was inspired by this card I made forever ago (and the bookmark uses that stack of books stamp) - I used the same color scheme and Authentique papers. I colored the Sheena Douglass butterfly with my Spectrum Noir markers (GB2, GB6, GB7, GB8) and spritzed the whole thing with Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko Gold Shimmer Sprtiz.
I added some Stampendous Fran·táge with Shabby White and Aged Gold embossing enamels (sprinkle on, heat set from underneath). My sentiment is on one of the new Die'sire Essentials Oval and Scalloped Oval dies.
I'm SO thrilled with how many challenges I managed to incorporate on this card! The Crafter's Companion theme this month is School (check!), Spectrum Noir is all about Nature (check!), and the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge is 'Make it Sparkle' (check!)
Play along with all of them (click each name above) for a chance to win loads of prizes!
