Hello Turtle!

Hello Turtle

Time for another fun challenge with Lawsncaping Challenges! This week we're all about Texture.... you should play along! I inked up Lawn Fawn's cute little turtle and colored him with my Spectrum Noir markers (BT2, BT4, BT4, CG1, CG2) on kraft cardstock. I added a sentiment with Memento LUXE ink.

To add texture to my card, I started by using Dreamweaver Stencils Pearlescent Embossing Paste with a stencils from The Crafter's Workshop on Vertigo from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko (these two patterns are available at Simon Says Stamp, but I used a different one). The paste dried on the Vertigo within an hour and looks SO cool!  To enhance the fun texture and play on the 'dot', I adhered the Vertigo with my Xyron Mega Runner - see the adhesive dots peeking through? They look like clear stencils - love!

I also die cut the Die'sire Essentials Stars (to create the frame, I simply placed the smaller die inside the larger one when I ran it through my eBosser) and embossed the smaller one (continuing with my dots theme). To finish my card I sprayed some Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko irRESISTable spray in Pear Tart on the patterned paper and threw a few sequins on!

Be sure to visit the blog and play along with us! You could win a FAB prize from Lawn Fawn (including the new release products!)

I also had the current Simon Says Stamp challenge in mind when I made this - these are summer colors, right?!
