The Journey is the Reward

I've got another tutorial on the Imagine Crafts blog today, and I absolutely adore how this card turned out! How fabulous does the SHEET Metal look embossed and inked with the new Stazon Midi - Blue Hawaii?!

Here's how I made this:

The Journey is the Reward Step #1

Step 1: Remove protective blue cling from SHEET Metal and add Stazon Blue Hawaii ink directly to the metal. (Optional: lightly heat set to speed drying time – do not over heat).

The Journey is the Reward Step #2

Step 2: Use the embossing folder to emboss the SHEET Metal. Using Core’dinations Sanding Kit (or other fine grit sandpaper) buff ink off of ridges.

The Journey is the Reward Step #3

Step 3: Stamp images on white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Color with Spectrum Noir markers as desired then fussy cut each image and set aside. Colors used:

Fish: GB6, GB3, GB2, OR1, OR2, CR1, CR2
Large Water Lily: PL3, PL2, PL1, PP3, DG2, DG1, IG1
Small Lilies: HB2, HB1, PP1, PP3, IG1
Centers: GB5,CT4

The Journey is the Reward Step #4

Step 4: Stamp sentiment on small cardstock panel. Spray with Shimmer Spritz Silver and Frost, then with Walnut Ink Cornflower and Lilac.

What a beautiful card design. Love the metal water background. I will have to remember that idea for using sometimes myself.
