Today the Crafter's Companion US design team has joined up with the fabulous ladies at CardMaker Magazine for a fantastic holiday hop! We've got loads of inspiration to share, and of course some prizes to be won!
I'm feeling super festive, and I got out my next generation Spectrum Noir markers to color up one of my favorite Sheena Douglass images (ok, who am I kidding?? - ALL of her images are my favs!).
Reds: CR8, CR7, CR6
Grays: IG4, IG2, IG1, blender
Greens: DG4, DG2
Pinecone: TN8, TN7, GB10
Berries: TB9, TB8, BGR3
Bow: EB2, EB1
Cookies, Cinnamon Sticks: TN5, TN4, TN3
Bell: OR1, GB5, GB4
Shadow: BG6, BG4, BG2
After coloring the image, I sponged ink on the edges to give the whole panel an aged feel, and then embossed it with an Embossalicious 6x6 Let it Snow folder. To make the cup and cookies stand out a bit, I smoothed them back out with a bone folder so they were a bit smoother (and less embossed!). I added a sentiment with Delicata Gold ink (BEST gold ink out there, truly!); that small green cardstock panel is embossed with the Mistletoe Moments folder and sanded.
And because I love multi-tasking, I've also played along with this month's Spectrum Noir challenge, which is all about FOOD!! This image works perfectly, doesn't it?
After you've stopped by to check out all the amazing inspiration we've got for you today, head over to the Crafter's Companion US Facebook page to see what you can win!
Hope you're inspired to create some festive fabulousness!
