Holiday Memories

AIR_Nov_Theme7sm_tbu. copy

This month the Artists in Residence at IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko were challenged to created a card that featured the newly introduced Monterey Pine wood pieces.  I decided to pair mine with some gorgeous Authentique paper (from the Glistening collection - and let me tell you, it was HARD to cut this lovely paper up it's so pretty! I just want to keep it all!).

I inked up the wood piece with VersaMagic chalk ink (Aquatic Splash) to allow for the fabby woodgrain to show through.  The I spritzed it with Sheer Shimmer Spritz craft spray in Gold; if you were actually holding this gorgeous card in your hands you'd be able to see how shimmery it was!

My sentiment, from the Jingle Bells set by Crafter's Companion US and Crafter's Companion UK,  is stamped in Brilliance Pearlescent Beige ink, which is also sponged on the edges of the die (as is the VersaMagic Aquatic Splash). And you can also see on the upper left corner of the Centura Pearl cardstock, which is already shimmery, I sprayed a bit more of the Sheer Shimmer Spritz for some added sparkle!

You can check out the full step-by-step picture tutorial on how I made this card over on the IMAGINE Crafts blog today!

This card also works for the current challenge over at Crafter's Companion - it's all about Christmas/Winter this month! Stop by the blog to see how you can play along and win a little shopping spree for yourself
