Brilliant Butterflies

It's a two-post kind of day! Looking for my Yumi & Fumi blog hop card? Scroll down, or click here!

This month the Artists-in-Residence at IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® were challenged to make a project using the fabulous line of IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Brilliance™ Pigment Inks.  Here is a step-by-step look at how I created my card!

I pulled out a few supplies:

After die cutting my frame, but before removing the card stock from the die, I decided to add a bit of color to it.  I did this by dabbing my IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® stipple brush directly on to the ink pad and then dotting it on to the paper.

This gives a great, subtle effect especially because the Brilliance™ Pigment Ink full size pad in Peacock
has three different colors on it.

Next I placed my sentiment on a Rock-a-Block and inked it up with the Brilliance™ Pigment Ink full size pad in Sunflower Yellow.

I clean most of my rubber stamps with the fabulous IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® StazOn® Solvent Ink All-Purpose cleaner. I really, really love the dauber top!

Next, using the Brilliance™ Pigment Ink full size pad in Peacock again, I inked up the butterfly stamp.  I fussy cut it and set it aside.

I threaded some sheer ribbon through the loops in my frame, and also embossed my large piece of yellow patterned paper with the Floral Frenzy folder (sold out in the US, but available in the UK!).  I gave my butterfly a little extra depth my curling the wings slightly with my fingers, and then adhering it on foam tape by the center only.  Look at the fabulous sheen the Brilliance™ Pigment Inks create!
