Monochromatic Sparkle

Today I'm sharing a new project for Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko!  I wanted to make something fairly simple (that didn't cost extra to mail), but still had lots of depth and warmth.  I came up with this:

Using the Penshurt, Kent stamp from the Timeless Britain collection (Crafter's Companion US), together with a few amazing Tsukineko products, I created an easy-to-duplicate card suitable for a guy (always a difficult thing for me!).  Here's how I did it:

First I gathered the supplies I needed: the stamp I've previously mentioned, a few Memento Dew Drops (Bamboo Leaves, Morocco, Rich Cocoa, and Peanut Brittle, which didn't make the picture!), and Walnut Ink.  I also got a sheet of kraft card stock, and one piece of a shimmery copper card stock (also not pictured).

After trimming my main image panel down to the size I wanted it to accomodate my stamp, I spritzed Walnut Ink all over it and allowed it to dry.

Using my InkBlushers, I sponged on Memento inks until I achieved the effect I wanted (again, the Peanut Brittle ink did not make the picture!).

After applying all four inks, my main image panel looked like this - it's so warm and vintage-feeling!

I thought a little sparkle would be nice (when isn't a little sparkle nice?!) so I sprayed Gold Shimmer Spritz all over the card stock.

I finished the card by adhering my stamped panel to a shimmery-copper card stock, and then attaching it to a card base previously sprayed with Walnut Ink and Gold Shimmer Spritz.  I attached it with foam tape, to give the card a bit of dimension.

Stamps: Penhurst, Kent (Crafter's Companion)
Card Stock: Kraft, Copper (Bazzill)
Ink: Memento Bamboo Leaves, Rich Cocoa, Peanut Brittle, Morocco; Walnut Ink (Tsukineko)
Accessories: Gold Shimmer Sprtiz (Tsukineko)
