Hello My Dear

It's Design Team challenge time with the crazy talented ladies at i {heart} papers, and this month our challenge is super fun - we got to pick a favorite challenge from ALL of the DT challenges i {heart} papers has ever done, and play again!

If you know me, you know I am the worst at picking favorites.  The tyranny of choice completely overwhelms me. So I played along with 2 1/2 old challenges!  I started with the new products challenge from September 2011.  But then I realized the my Flourishes Just My Type stamp set, Paper Smooches die, and Ultra Smooth White Cardstock were new, but not new enough to still be in the new products section - that's why this is only half a challenge!

Next I opted for the "Beat the Heat" challenge from August 2011 - it was to use cool colors and as few layers as possible.  The Echo Park Winter Wishes paper pad has gorgeous cool colors, so I used a few small strips of that.  And just for fun, I realized that I accidentally played along with the challenge from May 2011, which was all about Color Blocking

I finished my card with a bit of Metallic Silver String and self adhesive pearls.  The sentiment on the tag is stamped in VersaMagic ink, and the tag is popped up on dimensional dots.

I made this card for my sweet husband, who totally won't see this post - but he'll get the card!  I'm away in England, so I'm hiding a few around the house in spots that he wil find them while I'm gone :)

Be sure to hop through and see what my teammates have made!
