All Aboard

I sat down this weekend to make a card for absolutely no reason - no design teams, no challenges, no deadlines, no requirements....just fun.  I inked up the adorable train in the Lawn Fawn Pa Rum Pa Pum Pum set (that I got at i {heart} papers, along with most of the other things I used on this card!) but made a decidedly un-holiday card with the holiday set!

My two-and-a-half year old son love Thomas the Tank Engine (and all of his friends).  I had to color my train blue because of that.  I used these Spectrum Noir markers:

Blues: TB1, TB2
Orange/Reds: OR3, CR10, CR11
Yellows: CT3, CT4, GB5
Greys: IG1, IG2, IG4

The little clouds are actually one image, but I fussy cut them and adhered them with dimensional dots.  I stamped the sentiment on a banner die and adhered it on dimensional dots as well.  A bit of navy blue ribbon finished it off!

And I'm thrilled to report that my son snatched this off my desk on Sunday morning, and has carried it around the house with him since then.  It naps with him, sleeps with him, and is one of the select few items he allows to go in his new teepee in our living room (this is a huge deal, lol).  Success!!

Stamps: Pa Rum Pa Pum Pum (Lawn Fawn)
Card Stock: Blue (World Win Treasures), White (Neenah)
Patterned Paper: Bo Bunny
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko)
Coloring Medium: Spectrum Noir
Accessories: Ribbon (May Arts)
Tools: Banner Die (WPlus9)

SUPER cute, Taylor! Isn't it nice just to make something for fun every once in a while? I love the rainbow stripe-y blast of color, and I'm the mother of an eight year old who still loves his Thomas collection! :)
