Trim the Tree

HOW fun are these elves, trimming the tree?  They're part of the holiday kiddos line from Stampendous, and I absolutely adore them.  I colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers, to coordinate with the great Very Merry patterned paper.

Red Outfits: CR10, DR1, DR6, DR7
Belts: IG6, IG4, IG2
Skin: FS9, FS4, FS2, (cheeks: CR3)
Green Tree: DG1, DG2, DG3, DG4 (trunk: EB2)
Yellow Star and Tinsel: CT3, CT4, GB5
Sack: EB7, BG4
Striped Hat Acccents: IG2, IG1
Floor: BG3, BG2, BG1

After I colored my image I added some of my beloved Shaved Ice to it, to amp up the sparkle.  Elves HAVE to sparkle, just like fairies do!  My sparkly twine is from Maya Road, and my bling is from Zva.  You can pick up almost all of these goodies over at i {heart} papers - the twine, Shaved Ice, and paper are in stock right now!  These darling elves are traveling to ihp from the North Pole, and will be in stock very soon (joining a fabulous selection of Stampendous products) :)  And while you can't get the bling in this particular color, she does have similar flourishes in other colors!

I made this card for several different challenges - because I love a challenge!  Paper Craft Planet is collaborating with Zva Creative all week long (yesterday I shared two cards with some lovely bling).  And today the fabby Color Crew from Designed to Color are kicking off the Grand Prize Scavenger Hunt for the 1000 Facebook Fans celebration!  You can see all the different prizes and challenges going on over on the blog - be sure to peek, because there are all sorts of stamps up for grabs!

But for today, the Scavenger Hunt is something brand new and different!  Each of the members of the Color Crew have a secret ingredient. You have to head over to each of our blogs to find out what it is, and then make a card based on the recipe you come up with!  Add your link to the collection, and you'll be entered to win the grand prize :)

My secret ingredient to add to your card is: TWINE of some sort. Make sure it's on there!

Now head over to the Designed to Color blog, to find out where else you need to go to find the recipe for your card!

Super cute card! Love all of the colors and your coloring. I'm a newbie with the Spectrum Noirs but you color so pretty with them... I sure need to practice and some pointers. Hadn't heard of the "shaved ice" but it looks so pretty. TFS and thanks for the "ingredient."
