From the Desk Of....

Saturday I shared with you my Crayon Box and card, which was part of the monthly Gourmet Rubber Stamps challenge to create something shaped, or with shapes on it.  The card I'm sharing today is actually the first thing I made for that challenge, before I got the crayon box template!

This card worked for the challenge, because I incorporated lots of shapes. It's a square card, with a rectangular panel, a triangle, and a circle.  And the papers have shapes on them too!  I paired two different stamp sets - Old School and Noteworthy - with Authentique's Curiosity paper, which is great for non-cutesy  school-themed projects.  And Memento's Gray Flannel ink worked perfectly.  I love it when a happy accident works out ok.  I left my circle inside the die when I stamped my image.  I didn't properly press on the stamp, and the edges nearest the die didn't stamp on to the paper.  But it looks pretty symmetrical .... so I went with it!  To finish the card, I added some small pearls in the top corner.

And since it is Tuesday....why not share a sale?  The entire stock of Gourmet Rubber Stamps at i {heart} papers are 15% off today and tomorrow!! What a great reason to go stock up on some new stamps!
