Best Dad in the World

For Father's Day I made my husband a card from the kids, and attempted to keep it fairly simple (because that's how he rolls).  We recently went to the beach, and really enjoyed seeing our kids playing together; we also had a very funny encounter with a crab.  This darling Crafter's Companion image from the Sweet as Sunshine set was perfect for his card!  I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers - here's a breakdown of what I used on this card:

Boy's Outfit: DG3, DG2, TN5, TN4, TN3
Girl's Outfit: CR5, CR4, CR3, GG2, GG1
Hair: GB8, EB2, EB1
Skin: FS9, FS4, FS3
Crab: CR2, BG1
Net/Pole: TN6, TN4, TN3, BGR1, BGR2
Bucket/Shovel: GB5, CT4, CT3
Shells: BGR4
Sand: TN3, TN2, TN1
Sun: GB5, GB3
Sky: TB2, TB1

It looks like a lot of markers, but it didn't take long at all.  About 15-20 minutes to color,  I think.  I added a sentiment from the One in a Million set - I love the way it looks like a child's handwriting!  And some torn cork to mimic the sand finished it off.  Ohohohohoh - those little dew drops? They started out white, and I colored them with a Spectrum Noir marker to match!  Hubs was super thrilled with this card - it's hanging in the kitchen right now :)

Supplies:
Stamps: Sweet as Sunshine, One in a Million (Crafter's Companion)
Card Stock: Black (Recollections); Papyrus (World Win Treasures), Red, Blue (Bazzill); Cork (Unknown)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Coloring Medium: Spectrum Noir
Accessories: Dew Drops
Tools: Corner Slot Punch (SU)

That's a lovely card, and how lucky was it to find a stamped image that matched your experience of the day at the beach so perfectly. The card will be a great reminder of a fun day for a long time to come.
