Growing Tulips

I get to host the sketch challenge over on Splitcoaststampers again this week; I'm filling in for Holly on our usual rotation.  I'm sharing a super fun sketch based on a card I spotted in the gallery by Sharon Johnson, which also happens to be perfect for the Hump Day Challenge that Bridget is hosting over in the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps member company forums.  It's all about using two or more patterned papers on your card.  You can see Sharon's original card on SCS.

When I contacted Sharon about using the card for the sketch this week, she shared with me that it was actually her take on Michelle Woerner's circle cards....I love that crafters come together to share ideas and spread the crafty love!

I fiddled with the sketch a smidge (as usual).  My sentiment panel is scooted more towards the center, as opposed to completely on top of the largest circle.  However, I didn't want to hide my pretty, off-centered tulips!  I used three stamp sets to make this card.  The largest circle has the Friendship Script set stamped in it, and then the Spring Tulips stamped towards the edge and colored.  I added a sentiment from the Love Sentiments set.

Hope you can head over to Splitcoaststampers and play along with one or both of these challenges this week!
