Catching a Smile

This week's challenge with the Pixies is a really fun one!  We're all making cards using our favorite things, and challenging you to do the same!  This was actually kind of hard for me - I am no good at picking favorites, because I sort of love everything.  I started making one card with a certain idea in mind, and it went in a whole different direction and ended up working better for a challenge that is coming soon with the Pixies.

This card is my second attempt at showcasing a few of my most favorite things.  I used the darling Catching a Smile image and colored her up in shades of pink, which I love. Here's a few other favorites on this card:

  • white space....lots of white space
  • black card stock (but just a smidge, to help the paper pop)
  • a CAS (clean and simple) design
  • polka dots
  • more pink
  • Tuxedo Black ink by Memento (soooooo perfect)
  • lacey oval Nestabilities
  • lace tape (from Love My Tapes)
  • twine
Be sure to head over to the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge Blog to see what the other Pixies love, and for all the details on how to play along!
