Stampendous Saturday - Tinsel Tree

Don't forget I'm Swimming for Katie, so please be sure to check out that post and the giveaway that's with it!  The Renz family needs our help, prayers, and donations now more than ever, so I encourage you to do anything you can for them! I had originally said a winner would be announced today, but I am giving everyone an extra week to leave a comment!
Have I mentioned how much i adore this month's Stampendous challenge?  We're all about the Clean and Simple (CAS) holiday cards this month, and so far I've made a card in nine minutes, and another in about five.  This week's took a little longer, but only because I was trying to figure out which pretty sparklies to use!

I started with the Tinsel Tree image, and stamped it once on my card base and again on a contrasting piece of card stock. I cut out the green one and used a glue pen (Martha Stewart) to add Embossing Tinsel and glitter where I wanted it.  Before I adhered it to my card base using foam tape, I added a bit of Embossing Tinsel to the starbursts around the tree, and stamped the Old World Greetings sentiment on the bottom.  If you haven't hard about all the cool things you can do with Stampendous's new Embossing Tinsels, check out this informative blog post.

I also combined this card with the newest Desert Island Crafter's Challenge.  From the itinerary, I used 4 items - my favorite color (brown), candy colors (pink and green), not a square (hey, the card is rectangular!),  and stipes (they are on the tree).  Trust me, my card is WAY different than everyone else's this week, so you'll want to head over there to check them all out!
Now for more details about the Stampendous challenge!   Here's the list of team members from our various teams that are playing along today:
Taylor Usry (you are here)
Our challenge to you this month is to join us in making CAS holiday cards.  We want to help you get into the holiday spirit, so this month we are giving away a Cling Jumbo Sparkle Joy set to a random winner.  You don't have to use a Stampendous image or products to play along, but we sure love it when you do! You have until Thursday, November 3 at 11:59 PM EST to add your link to the linky tool, and we'll draw a random winner. You can enter as many times as you'd like.

A note about the linky tool: you can add to the one here on my blog, or on the Stampendous blog, or from any other Stampendous team member that has shared it on their blog.  It all goes to the same place!
