Stampendous Saturday: Rustic Lion Crest

Today I'm sharing a card I made using a Stampendous image that was released at CHA back in July.  I paired the handsome Lion Crest with fall colors, Aged Gold Embossing Enamel, and some yummy patterned paper. This card is also my Gracious Glimpse for the September Design Team Delights gallery over at Christian Paper Crafts.  The theme this month is Fabulous Fall, and we'll be celebrating all things autumn!  Be sure to head over to the CPC Creative Blog to see the other glimpses today, and everyday until the gallery opens on the 15th!

I sprinkled the Aged Gold Embossing Enamel directly on to my card stock panel, and heated it from below to melt it - no Versamark required!  I love the texture and interest it adds to projects.  In the top corner of my mat, I pressed the whole corner into my Versamark pad and then poured the Embossing Enamel on it and heated it until it melted.  Isn't that aged look fantastic?

In case you missed the news, Stampendous has started a monthly challenge!  This month we've got a great sketch for you, and there is a prize up for grabs! All you have to do is make a card based on the sketch provided and add your link to the linky tool.  Check out this post on the Stampendous blog for all the details.

Very cool Taylor! Rustic is the perfect word for this. I love the colors and the touches of embossing. It makes me want to pull out all of my fall sweaters and rake leaves...well maybe not:-) It's really beautiful! Thanks for inspiring us all.

This is a great version of the lion crest image. Would make a great masculine card. Love the exposed corner of aged gold.
