Stampendous Saturday: Quick & Simple Notes

Welcome to another Stampendous Saturday!  I am having so much fun with this every week, and I so appreciate everyone that stops by!  This week I have something pretty simple to share - I wouldn't call it a tutorial, or a tip...maybe more of a challenge?  Don't panic - you don't have to play along.  It's a personal challenge.

I've been on a mission lately to make more cards.  Along with that I realized I needed to be quicker, simpler, cleaner, and still "pretty".  Also, I wanted to figure out how to do that without making everything a white-based card.  Don't get me wrong, I adore white based cards.  ALOT.  But my other card stock is sitting around, feeling neglected!

I cut my long panel, inked up my Cling Jumbo Rosehips stamp, and placed it a bit off center in each corner.  I really like the way images look when they are stamped partially, and trail off the page.  I pulled out my Happy Messages clear stamp set and added a sentiment to the lower middle of the panel.  It  is stamped in Encore Gold, and then I poured some Aged Gold Embossing Powder over it and heated from underneath.  I also dragged the edges of the cream panel through the gold ink, to set it off a bit.  And just like that - I ended up with a 6 card set that I can give to a friend!

Now, for the fun part...candy! Want to win this Cling Jumbo Rosehips set?

All you have to do is leave a comment on this post by Friday, August 26 at 11:00 PM EST. That's it! SO EASY!! I'll announce the winner on Saturday the 27th, with my next Stampendous Saturday post! Thanks for stopping by!

And for even more Stampendous blog candy, stop by these blogs: Pam Hornschu, Wendy Jordan, Cyndi Bundy, and Wendy Price. Lynn Mercurio also has candy, but hers ends tonight!

And I know you are wondering...the winner of last week's Merry Snowman set is: Jocelyn aka JoBear2 ! Congratulations! Send me an email with your contact info, and I'll pass it on to the shipping elves at Stampendous.

Supplies:
Stamps: Cling Jumbo Rosehips, Happy Messages (Stampendous)
