Dragonfly Script

I'm thrilled to be hosting the sketch challenge over at Splitcoaststampers this week.  I drew the sketch with this fabulous dragonfly in mind - it's perfect for longer, narrow panels!  I inked up the Dragonfly Vine from Stampendous in green on the cream panel, and then stamped it again in brown on another piece of card stock.  I fussy cut the body of dragonfly and gave his wings a bit of dimension with my bone folder, then adhered it directly over the green image.  I love that the wings come off of the panel a bit.

On my panel behind my main image panel, I chose to stick with the "white space" and just added a small scroll in the upper left corner.  My patterned paper is a luscious french script from Canvas Corp.  I finished off the card with a bit of brown ribbon - it's hard to see in the picture but the satin band in the middle has subtle polka dots on it.  I also added a vintage cream button with a pealescent brad.

Check out my sketch:

I'd LOVE for you to play along this week!  Use the keyword SC348 when you upload to SCS, and have fun!

Don't forget about the TWO chances I have right now for blog candy! Ending this tonight is my fun Celebration Candy (FOUR stamp sets up for grabs!), and ending on Saturday is my weekly Stampendous Candy. Head over to the blog posts to comment for a chance to win!
