Leave a Path

The Pretties have lots of fun to share today...not only are we sharing a Wednesday challenge but we are blog hopping too! Our challenge today is to use texture on your card, any way you want. It could be embossing, distressing, fun fibers or ribbons; the possibilities are endless. On my card, I embossed part of my background panel and one square of a smaller panel, distressed all the square edges, and added ink to them.

I chose to use just the wonderful sentiment from the Graduation Lily set (I showed you the adorable main image and smaller sentiment the other day). While I love graduation sets, I've gotten creative in finding uses for them, so they don't feel neglected when it isn't graduation season: turn them into birthday cards ("congrats, you've conquered your 30's!"), awards and certificates for my daughter for doing things around the house, gifts for teachers, and using just a sentiment like on this card - because it is good for all sorts of occasions.

Your next stop on the hop is the amazing Heather Lee-Reppen. She's created something wonderful to share with you, so don't miss it! And in case you missed any stops along the way, you can head over to the Paper Pretties blog to start over again (and to see more deets on the challenge).

What makes this card special:
Stamps: Graduation Lily
Card Stock: Kraft, Prismatics Cream
Designer Paper: Pink Paislee Old School
Ink: Tim Holtz Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, Frayed Burlap
Accessories: Ribbon, stick pin
Tools: Cuttlebug embossing folders, Spellbinders Nestabilities

Love this card and the textures you've given it. The tilt of the main image, too, is wonderful... that impresses me because it looks perfect, not off-kilter which is how I would expect I'd react to it, (you know, not being a diamond or a square, lol). Thanks for sharing!

Very unique card and the sentiment is actually something I was looking for to add to my granddaughter's card. Thank you now I can go in search of it.
