Shabby Princess

Did I tell you the news? I've been given the wonderful opportunity to rejoin the Pixies over at Pixie Dust Studio, and I could not be more thrilled! I arrived just in time for this week's new release - and sneak peeks start today! For my first card I'm sharing Belle of the Ball, and she is so gorgeous. I really love this digi image!

I decided to combine this sneak peek card with the color challenge over at The Play Date Cafe. And since the inspiration for their colors was a stunning collection of shabby images, I took my card in a semi-shabby direction. I dug out some old Prima paper (from 2007!) and paired it with Belle, who is colored using Copics. I added a couple of Kaisercraft pearls to her, because all shabby princesses need pearls. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch to do the edges of my paper, and curled them up a bit after adding some hand-stitching.

Be sure to stop by the Pixies blog today to see what the other talented ladies have been up to, and head over to The Play Date Cafe to play along with their challenge, too. And if you haven't heard - there's a HUGE blog hop starting on this blog tomorrow - around 50 participants and oodles of awesome prizes. So be sure to stop by tomorrow!
