A Creative Mess

Hey everyone!! How great is this new sentiment from Lizzie Anne Designs? I am so in love with it. I paired it with some Cosmo Cricket Material Girl dp for this card.

My sketch is based on this week's sketch challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. I reoriented the layout and slid the main panel to the left side of my card - I thought the flower looked better on the right side. I added a button and some twine and called this one done - just in time for my little man to get up from his nap!!

It's tough to get craft time in these days, lol!

Cheers to You

This is Tiffany. Isn't she fun? She is available from InStyle Stamps in both digi format and cling rubber (but she's currently out of stock). I made this card for my daughter, who happens to love pink and green and cheerleaders and flowers and stars - I think I got all of those bases covered on this one!

She has some pom-poms she uses when she plays dress up (because princess costumes must have pom-poms, in case you didn't know!) so I just know she'd flip out over this darling image. I tried not to let her see it, but she spotted it on my craft table when the card was half finished. So I printed her an image of her own to color, and I'm waiting a few weeks to give her this card. Hopefully she'll forget about it between now and then!

Proud as a Peacock

I made this colorful card for a Lizzie Anne sketch challenge a few weeks ago. The twist was to stamp a background pattern and then follow the sketch. I have not done this in SO long! I love that this whole challenge allowed me to create a super quick and easy card -- I love love love that kind of card!

My darling peacock and sentiment are from Simply Sweet, the July monthly mix over at Lizzie Anne Designs. I chose my colors based on what a peacock looks like - I love those rich shades of greens and blues!!

Fairies and Butterflies

These two fairies are from the darling Ava Collection over at InStyle Stamps - how sweet are they? I paired them both with some fun and colorful butterfly designer paper. Fairies and butterflies go well together, right?!?! According to my daughter, they do! She helped me pick out the paper :)

I had a blast working on these cards - I printed out some extra images for my daughter to color while I made the cards. Those are the best moments, aren't they?

Chillin' and Grillin'

It's monthly blog hop time again with the InStyle Stamps ladies!! Every month our blog hops have a theme - this month we have two! We just couldn't decide between Outdoors and Patriotic. And they kind of go together, so we figured, why not? So some of the ladies have outdoorsy cards, and some of the ladies have Patriotic cards. Fun, huh? You should have come here from the lovely Genevieve's blog - isn't she amazing?

I use the BBQ image, which should be available in the store soon. I left the card super clean and simple - just added some yummy orange polka dotted ribbon. I have to say, I *love* the way it turned out!

Next you should hop on over to Angelique's blog to see what stunning project she has to share with you today!! And if you get lost along the way, you can always start from the beginning at the InStyle Stamps blog.

Don't forget, after you visit everyone's blog return to the InStyle Stamps blog to vote for your favorite project. You could win a great prize (you'll have to vote and leave a comment on the InStyle Stamps blog)!

Springtime Tulip

The heat is so awful I was in the mood for a nice, soft, springy card! So I used the Tulip image from InStyle Stamps. It's available in the store in both digi and rubber format - gotta love choices! The card itself is very simple - just a couple of layers, a nice designer paper, topped of by a lovely flower embellishment. The white base, for me, adds lots of lightness to the card.

Ok, I'm off to try and avoid the awful heat and humidity. Maybe a trip to the pool is in order!

Dad's Tools

This super simple card was for my Dad :) He's a builder/developer, so this image from Dream Big (the May monthly mix from Lizzie Anne Designs) was totally perfect for him!! I left the card crazy simple, because my dad wouldn't appreciate loads of layers and embellishments, lol.

Happily, he called to tell me how much he loved it - mission accomplished! I htink what he loved was that my sweet 4 year old wrote her name inside and drew some adorable pictures ;)

Thanks for putting up with my short posts lately - I'm super busy creating new things, trying to get the new baby on a schedule, and spend time with my darling 4 year old. Hopefully I'll get back to being my long-winded self soon!

Playful Pals

This is the Father's Day card I made for my husband's dad. Hubby asked for no embellishments - so i complied with his request. It was hard! My FIL loves dogs, so using this little cutie from the Lizzie Anne Designs sixlet set Playful Pals was an easy choice. I paired it with a sentiment for Dream Big, the May monthly mix. Inside, the sentiment is also from Playful Pals - it reads "No bones about it, you're the doggone best!". So cute!

Happy Father's Day!

Here is the clean and simple card I made for my wonderful husband for Father's Day. I used the Love Couple image from InStyle Stamps' "A Day in the Life" collection - isn't it the sweetest image? My husband loves to cook, and spending time with him in the kitchen is so much fun!

I know - it has a girlie color on it. But my hubby appreciates pink - in all shades! So I used it, and kept the rest of the card just the way he likes them - totally simple. No embellies other than ribbon. After all, this is about him! Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful dads out there!

And in other crafty news - how would you like to be on the InStyle Stamps Design Team?? We just might be looking for you! Find out all of the details about our current Design Team call on the InStyle Stamps blog.

Surf's Up!

Whoa this card is brightly colored! I used the dp to pick my cardstock colors, and to pick the colors I used on my image. And it is SO summery and cheerful! Surfer Girl is such a fun image from InStyle Stamps, don't you think?

It is definitely no sunny and cheerful weather here today - it's quite gray and gloomy. So I'm going to take the day to craft, clean, and get caught up - provided my darling children cooperate with that idea! I hope you have a wonderful day :)

You Are Special

It's DT Challenge time over at Lizzie Anne Designs! This month we got a gorgeous inspiration photo to use as our color and design starting point. I went super clean and simple, just like the photo. My stamps are form the newest monthly mix, Simply Sweet. I am loving this card!

Blog Candy for Graduation!

It's Wednesday again, and that means it's blog candy time over at InStyle Stamps! This month our challenge theme is "graduation" - because it is that time of year! I used Jessica on my tent fold card - isn't she adorable?

I also dug out some old Basic Grey paper - Scarlett's Letter! I haven't used it in forever but if I want new paper I have to get rid of the old first, right?

Be sure to stop by the InStyle Stamps blog to see what the other DT girls have come up with, and to leave a link to your awesome creation! You have a month to make a graduation themed card and share it with us - you'll be entered to win a great prize!

One HOT Tomato!

It's the 15th of the month, so you know what that means - time to reveal next month's Monthly Mix from Lizzie Anne Designs! It's called "Simply Sweet" and it is FULL of stamp-y goodness. My card today uses the adorable tomato image and coordinating sentiment. You can see the entire mix set here. Every image in it is a keeper :)

If you've been following my blog lately, you'll have guessed by now that I am dying for some garden fresh tomatoes! This is my second tomato themed project in less than a week!

Lizzie Anne Designs has something else fun happening today, too - it's "Mix It Up" day! Click on over to the Lizzie Anne Blog and you'll find a list of people who are playing along in the Mix Member Blog Hop - and if you are a Mix member please be sure to join in next month!

Pretty Ballerina

Isn't this the sweetest little card? No embellishments, nothing fancy - just an adorable image paired with some super girlie paper :) I love it!

My image is Bella, and she is available from InStyle Stamps, but she is exclusively old in stores. InStyle Stamps has a whole collection of rubber stamps that are only sold in stores - so if you want your LSS to carry these great images send me a note and we'll work on making that happen!

A Yummy Color Challenge

It's color challenge time again over at InStyle Stamps - and this month we've got a super tasty group of colors to share! It's just about time for the tomatoes to start coming in in gardens all over the place, and I for one can't wait. So I found this delicious photo of heirloom tomatoes to share with you, and give you some juicy color inspiration this month! I think that is my favorite thing about summer - the fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden. I could seriously eat tomato sandwiches (with a side of fresh cucumbers) all summer long. In fact, I probably will!

My card uses Nicole, who I just think is super sweet. I made this for my daughter, who loves to play soccer (in fact, she's trying to drag her dad outside right now to play - she doesn't care how hot it is!). I'm still in shock that I got YoYo Yellow on this card - I *never* use it! I actually don't mind it paired with Riding Hood Red and Basic Black on this card - the other colors seemed to subdue it some.

Ok, back to the craft table!

Father and Daughter

I've been on a card making spree this week - so far I've made fifteen! For me, that is huge, lol. I don't necessarily love all of them, but it's been more about getting back into a groove and trying to find my lost mojo. I do like them all, though - and it's been fun crafting again!

This card features an InStyle Stamps image from their "A Day in the Life" collection. The image is called Father and Kid - isn't it the sweetest thing? It totally reminds me of my husband and daughter outside on the swingset. Which was one our favorite things to do until the dreaded mosquitoes showed up this week!

I kept the card simple for two reasons: one, because the image has alot going on, and I wanted to focus on that. Two, because I am all about the simple these days. I can't make my brain wrap around complicated designs!

Fun in the Sun

It's sketch challenge time over at InStyle Stamps. This month I used the Beach Girl image for my card - I love her! And since my daughter is officially dying to go to the pool, it seemed appropriate to me.

She is colored with Copics and popped up on dimensionals. I hand stitched around the edges of the image panel and around the edges of my background panels. The sentiment is computer generated.

I must confess, since having a baby I am not really enjoying crafting - I'm having a hard time getting back into the groove. I hope that feeling goes away and my mojo comes back soon, because I am quickly falling behind on my DT work, and haven't made anything for fun in over a month!

Be sure to head over to the InStyle Stamps blog to see the sketch, and to see what the other girls have created using it. And if you play along, link your creation to Mr. Linky over there and you'll be entered to win a prize!
