All Things Sweet

I have a wonderful friend who loves the outdoors and canoeing, and she took a very enjoyable trip to Maine (which always reminds me of moose!). So I combined all of those things and made her a card just to say hello.

I paired an image (Morty Fishing) from Sew Many Digital Stamps with colors I got from the latest Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. And wow do I love these colors together! Browns, guavas, an olive-y green, and some rich creme. Mmmmmm....

I used my very first sheet of Papertrey Ink cardstock on this card - it was a gift from a very dear friend. And holy toads I am head over heels in love!

This fabulous creation was made by my four year old daughter. And I cried when she gave it to me. She used Tayla from Sew Many Digital Stamps - she had to have one when I printed them out. Everyday she does quiet time (instead of a nap), and this past Saturday she worked on this (all alone, in her room). Here's how she explained it to me (warning - get a Kleenex): "Mommy, I did it just like you do. I colored my picture and cut it out, and then cut out another piece to put behind it, and then cut out another piece for my words on the side." *SOB* -- she loves nothing more than to sit at my craft table with me, so she has picked up on the whole layering thing, and how to lay out a card. I just cannot tell you how precious this is to me!

Both of the cards today are great! I really like the Nesties you used on the moose card. ;) Please tell your daughter that Ms. Tricia is very impressed with her card.

Taylor great job on your car, just love it. Your daughter is becoming a great scrapper already, isn't it sweet she knows how to scrap. I babysit my 5 and 3 year old granddaughters and the 5 year old loves paper, ribbon and the gluestick and is always making cards. Her mother introduced me to scrapbooking several years ago. Isn't it strange how things happen...
