Friends Make My Heart Happy

I have a friend, Patricia, who makes *amazing* CAS (clean and simple) cards. I mean stunning. She is so good at them I find myself constantly drooling over her gallery and blog. She has inspired me to attempt more cards in the CAS style. It's actually quite difficult for me!

I made this one in under 20 minutes this morning. I love the short amount of time - yay! I really do like the white space, too. Of course, I wanted to add more embellishments - more ribbon, some twine, etc. But I made myself leave it alone after adding the skittles as flower centers.

What do you think - does this qualify as a CAS card?

Materials:
  • Cardstock/Paper: Garden Green, Rose Red, Whisper White
  • Stamps: SU Friendship Blooms
  • Ink: Garden Green, Rose Red, Certainly Celery
  • Tools & Accessories: glitter skittles, paper piercer

Definitely an amazing clean and very crisp looking card, looks great Taylor! I once did a whole week on my blog of projects that take 20 min. or less...it was really fun!! You've inspired me to maybe try that again!

*snuffle* To be called out by an artist like you is a high honor. Thank you, Taylor.

This is a wonderful CAS card! I love everything about it - the colors, the skittles, the dimension of the cut-out flowers, and the piercing.
