It's Missing Something

This is most definitely missing something, but I cannot decide what. I tried some ribbon, some dew drops, a small metal clip, and a button. I didn't like any of it. So for the time being I gave up, and will revisit this card in a few days!

Why am I showing you a card I don't love yet? Well, for one, it uses a sweet new sentiment from the Card Quotations set by Lizzie Anne Designs. Card Quotations is one of the four new Sixlets that were recently introduced into the product line! My other reason is to share with everyone that things don't always go smoothly during crafty time! We all make mistakes, cards and projects with flaws, and things that need more "hatch time". I'm trying hard to remind myself of that everyday - things are much more enjoyable when you don't worry as much about the end product and have fun with the process!

Materials:

  • Cardstock/Paper: Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Prismatics White, Basic Grey Mellow dp
  • Stamps: LAD Card Quotations, School Days
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Pacific point
  • Tools: aquapainter, circle punch, paper piercer, Tim Holtz ruler, sponge
  • Accessories: green thread

Actually I think it's perfect as it is. You could add a vertical row of three brads top left but it's a bit late now as the prongs would show through and I really don't like that. But I'd leave it as it is and it will grow on you.

I think it looks GREAT! Those globe images are perfect with the sentiment. Great idea!

This is so simple but so effective! Love that mix of paper! And maybe you're just not used to extra white space (I no I am not)...I say leave it!

Oh, I don't think it's missing anything at all!! It's perfect just the way it is and love that globe image! I'm the same way, I may try to add some embellies thinking it might help, but some cards are just not meant for that...lol...the sentiment is a great focal point!

I think it looks perfectly wonderful! I for one needed to read this post! It is so easy to be really hard on yourself, isn't it?! And some things really are a matter of personal preference! Glad you shared! I love it!
