It's Wednesday Already!?!?!?

This week is just cruising on by! Big things are happening in my household this week, so I'm super excited for Thursday and Friday - we have important doctor's appointments (I can't believe it is time for her 4 year old checkup!), birthday shopping to do, a peek at the new baby on the way planned (big-sis-to-be can't wait for the ultrasound!) - I am just thrilled!

And now for my card :) Last week a challenge I used to participate in, Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesdays, relaunched after a break as The Diedrich Dare. The whole thing is the mastermind of my friend Jessica Diedrich and her uber-talented children. I didn't get to play last week because we'd been out of town, but I am excited to get started this week!!

The challenge was to draw a circular card based on a sketch provided. I promised myself that I'd start using some of my scraps up, so that was something I wanted to stick to with this! I made a small round card - I used the largest classic circle nestie for my card base. I'm thrilled that I got to stick to my goal - every bit of cardstock on here was from my scrap bin!

I used the set Love and Joy Labels from Lizzie Anne Designs' latest release. I know my colors are non traditional for a holiday card but I was in the mood for offbeat and hey - I'm sticking to the scrap bin, lol!

Be sure and visit the other Daredevils' blogs (listed below) and the Daredevil blog, too! Please feel free to play along with us :) Post a link to your blog or your card pic here or on the Daredevil blog, so we can see it. If you play along with the sketch and upload to an online gallery, use the keyword DDSC2 - that way we can find it to sprinkle some love. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Wow...you're thinking Christmas already - that's great! If you're making a bunch of homemade Christmas cards, September is the time to start...
Super job on the sketch. Pretty color! This week was a challenge for me - but fun. Glad you're back in the game with us!
