Cute as a Bug Birthday

I finally had time to do a Lizzie Anne Sketch - it has been forever! This week's sketch was drawn by my awesome fellow DT member Jeanne Streiff. I love how simple it is! I had lots of cards to make this week that I needed to give away this weekend, so any inspiration I could get my hands on was totally welcome :)

I used the newly released Lizzie Anne Designs set Cute as a Bug for this card. It is for a cousin's son's first birthday. My card base is So Saffron, and my accent colors are Close to Coca and Riding Hood Red (all from SU). My dp is by American Crafts - I really like the patterns in the "Play" collection.

I left my image panel plain - after all, he's just turning one, lol. No really - I liked the plain image against the busy dp. I paper pierced the top and bottom of the panel and made the holes slightly different sizes to mimc the different sizes of the circles on the dp. I adhered white ric rac to the top of the card, and a bright white chunky button on the bottom right. That was the "extra" challenge paired with the sketch, so I am feeling like I accomplished something!
